In this Privacy Policy, when we refer to 'personal information', we mean information that can identify you or from which your identity can be reasonably ascertained - for example, your name and contact details. By completing surveys issued by Voice of Your Customers Ltd, and hosted by SNAP Surveys Ltd, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Voice of Your Customers Ltd is a small independent marketing research and insights consultancy business. According to the requirements of the Information Commissioners Office (ICO), Voice of Your Customers Ltd are currently exempted from the need to register with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Personal Information – What information do we collect?

Visitors to this website

You can use this site without telling us who you are. The only personal information we collect about you is that which you choose to tell us. For example, we may need to collect your personal information so that we can provide you with services or to answer or forward your requests or inquiries. Survey respondents

Surveys issued by and hosted by SNAP Surveys collect a range of information from a variety of sources.

During the process of undertaking a market research survey, we collect and store the survey responses that are submitted. SNAP Surveys are only involved in this process acting as a third party survey hosting agency. SNAP Surveys are the authors of SNAP Market Research Software, which is sold to organisations around the world for their own use. Voice of Your Customers Ltd is a fully licensed operator of this software and any questions regarding this should be directed to the Director of Voice of Your Customers Ltd.

A survey may ask you to provide personal information or data. This information is completely voluntary and you do not have to provide responses to such questions. There may be instances on the other hand where surveys issued by Voice of Your Customers Ltd make use of your personal data directly from a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system of a commissioning client. If this is the case, we will notify you of this within the survey introduction letter or the submission page of the survey.

Device data - We may at times collect data from the device and/or application you use to access our surveys, such as your IP address and browser type. We may also infer your geographic location based on your IP address.

Referral data - We may record information about the source that referred you to a survey (for example, a link on a website or in an email).

Your email address - When we use SNAP Surveys for a survey, we may send an email invitation to you with a survey link within an email. Your email address is stored and uploaded to the third party service of SNAP Surveys at the time when imported to the survey from the clients CRM system. The emails we send on behalf of a client may appear to come from SNAP Surveys or from a tailored client name for the the purpose of being recognised by the recipient.

Providing survey responses is voluntary. Remember, you can always choose not to provide an answer to any given survey question (especially those requesting your personal information or data). However, sometimes this will prevent you from completing a survey if the survey client creator has requested such questions as mandatory.

How Information is used

Personal information that visitors submit to our surveys is used only for the purpose for which it is submitted unless otherwise specified.

Our clients, who have commissioned surveys, are really the primary curator of survey data. Anything you expressly disclose in your survey responses will be provided to them.

All survey data collected is non attributable to your personal data. While we may have your email address, telephone number or address, we do not associate this data with your survey response data. All personal data provided by you, or attributed directly to the survey by the clients CRM system is analysed on a cumulative basis and not issued to our clients, or used by Voice of Your Customers Ltd on an individual basis.

Privacy with regards to Email Invitations

Personal information

Voice of Your Customers 's clients are responsible for either supplying us with the contact data and the content relating to the email invitation they wish to send, or for Voice of Your Customers to upload. We abide by any restrictions that the client may put on the data.

In some cases clients require us to target particular offers or messages to particular groups of their customers or prospects. To do this, the client may provide us with information such as postcodes, demographic or psychographic information. We use this to customise the content of the email that is sent out to particular groups. We never make use of this data for our own purposes and this information is never shared with or sold to third parties.

Any time you wish to be removed from these lists you can opt-out by following the instructions in survey emails.

Our security systems

We are committed to handling your personal information and data with integrity and care. However, regardless of the security protections and precautions we undertake, there is always a risk that your personal data may be viewed and used by unauthorized third parties as a result of collecting and transmitting your data through the internet.

Opting-out

We require that each email we send out on behalf of our clients include an easy way for the recipient to remove themselves from the mailing list (opt-out). If a subscriber cannot remove themselves, for whatever reason, we will assist them.
